The sides discussed the results of Uzbek-Afghan relations in 2017, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

It was stressed that on 4-6 December, at the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Afghanistan Muhammad Ashraf Ghani paid an official visit to Uzbekistan and its fruitful results opened a new page in bilateral cooperation and gave it a multifaceted and productive character.

The sides also exchanged views on some areas of further cooperation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan in 2018.
