U.S. President’s Special Envoy Sergio Gor to Visit Uzbekistan§

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Sergio Gor, the U.S. President’s Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, will visit Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan from 3 to 7 February, the U.S. State Department announced.

During his visit to Bishkek, Gor will participate in the B5+1 business forum, meeting with leading business representatives and senior officials from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and the United States. The forum will emphasize the key role of the business community in strengthening cooperation between the U.S. and Central Asian countries.

In both Bishkek and Tashkent, the American diplomat will hold high-level talks with senior government officials to discuss prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation.

The State Department highlighted the U.S. commitment to strengthening economic ties with Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, as well as fostering innovative partnerships that contribute to regional stability and prosperity.

It is noted that Gor previously visited Uzbekistan in October of last year, during which a meeting with the President addressed further development of Uzbek-American strategic partnership relations, following agreements reached at the high-level meeting in New York on 23 September 2025.
