As reported earlier, the trade turnover between two states made up over US$350 million in 2013.
Ambassador said that Uzbekistan and Iran do not satisfied with the level of trade-economic relations. He said that Uzbekistan and Iran plan to increase trade turnover up to US$1 billion.
Envoy underlined that economies of Iran and Uzbekistan always fulfilled each other. He said that Uzbekistan could import good quality products from Italy on affordable prices, instead of low quality and expensive goods from some other states.
Iranian envoy said that Uzbekistan and Iran are planning to hold the eleventh session of intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and scientific technical cooperation in Tashkent in April 2015.
He said that corresponding ministries and departments are carrying out serious measures to hold the eleventh session of intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and scientific technical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran.
He said that in interest of two states Iran is ready to develop economic relations with Uzbekistan in various areas.
