Tashkent to Host International Water Resources Forum

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 25–26 March, Tashkent will host the international forum Tashkent Water Week 2026, organized by the Government of Uzbekistan.

The event aims to provide a platform for sharing expertise, discussing innovative approaches, and developing joint strategies for water resource management amid growing water scarcity and climate change challenges in Central Asia.

The program will feature high-level plenary and panel sessions covering sustainable water use, food security, transboundary water management, intergovernmental coordination, and the development of the agricultural sector.

Special attention will be given to technological and digital innovations, green standards, efficient land use, and capacity-building for water sector professionals.

The forum will also include the Tashkent Conference on Water Security and the International Subject Olympiad on Water Management Disciplines, linking scientific research with practical industry solutions.

Government agencies, international organizations, leading researchers, businesses, and experts are expected to participate. The forum is designed to strengthen regional cooperation and promote sustainable water management models that support long-term water and economic security in Central Asia.

Tashkent Water Week 2026 complements existing international conferences and expert dialogues in the region, creating a multilateral platform to discuss modern approaches to water resource management at both regional and global levels.
