Tashkent to host international conference on protection of human rights

The conference is organized in partnership with UNDP, OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan and Friedrich Ebert Foundation.

The organizers of the event are National Human Right Center of Uzbekistan, Ombudsperson, Justice Ministry, Interior Affairs Ministry, Prosecutor-General’s Office.

Representatives of the Uzbek parliament, state and judicial bodies, civil society institutes, educational institutions of Uzbekistan, international organizations will attend the conference.

The event is aimed at discussing current state and perspective of further strengthening status and improving role of national human rights institutions in protection of human rights and freedoms.

The conference will include one plenary session and four topical sessions. The participants will discuss legal mechanisms of human rights protection and foreign experience.
