Senate Discusses Measures to Support Exports and Promote the “Made in Uzbekistan” Brand
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on International Relations, Foreign Economic Ties, Foreign Investments, and Tourism held a meeting with representatives of the Association of Exporters of Uzbekistan and entrepreneurs engaged in foreign trade.
Participants discussed a wide range of issues related to supporting domestic producers and expanding the country’s export potential.
Special attention was given to improving the legislative framework, creating favorable conditions and incentives for exporters, establishing trade houses and warehouses abroad, as well as addressing transport and logistics infrastructure. The Senate’s practical assistance in obtaining international certification for Uzbek products was also highlighted.
It was emphasized that the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy sets the goal of increasing national exports to US$30 billion by 2026.
Entrepreneurship is becoming a key driver of the economy, while the state is creating all the necessary conditions for active participation of domestic companies in international exhibitions and for promoting the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand on the global market.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to further strengthen parliamentary support for export development, provide comprehensive assistance to entrepreneurs, expand foreign economic relations, and reinforce effective cooperation mechanisms.
