Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 October 2025, the permanent population of Uzbekistan totaled 38,069,116 people, according to the National Statistics Committee.

The largest number of residents is concentrated in Samarkand Region, with 4,360,070 people.

Following are Ferghana Region with 4,204,284 residents and Kashkadarya Region with 3,697,658. Andijan Region has 3,507,220 residents, the city of Tashkent — 3,164,030, Namangan Region — 3,177,070, and Tashkent Region — 3,148,569.

Surkhandarya Region has 2,994,070 residents, Bukhara Region — 2,099,069, Khorezm Region — 2,059,078, and the Republic of Karakalpakstan — 2,046,890.

The smallest populations are registered in Jizzakh Region (1,559,883), Navoi Region (1,108,595), and Syrdarya Region (942,630).
