President of Uzbekistan Highlights Importance of Expanding Trade and Economic Cooperation with Oman
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion of the Sultanate of Oman, Qais bin Mohammed al-Yousef, who arrived in Tashkent to participate in the International Investment Forum.
At the outset of the meeting, the Omani minister conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.
The two sides discussed current priorities in deepening bilateral cooperation, with a strong focus on trade, economic, and investment ties. They noted the positive momentum in Uzbekistan-Oman relations and the growing intensity of dialogue at various levels.
It was emphasized that, as part of the forum, a session of the Intergovernmental Commission and B2B meetings between business representatives are scheduled, aimed at strengthening economic partnerships.
Special attention was given to joint projects in key sectors such as energy, geological exploration, food processing, textiles, chemicals, transport and logistics, tourism, and finance. The role of the Uzbek-Omani Investment Company was highlighted as instrumental in advancing new initiatives and supporting bilateral ventures.
