President of Serbia Discusses Bilateral Relations and Economic Cooperation with Uzbek Ambassador

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić held a meeting with Oybek Shakhavdinov, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Belgrade.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further development of bilateral relations, strengthening political dialogue, and expanding economic cooperation.

Vučić noted that special attention during the talks was given to fostering business, investment, and trade relations, as well as establishing direct contacts between Serbian and Uzbek companies and scientific and educational institutions.

The President of Serbia emphasized that there is significant potential for launching new joint projects and more concrete forms of cooperation in the near term.

Vučić highlighted that Serbia places particular importance on its partnership with Uzbekistan and expressed confidence that the continuation of open and constructive dialogue will help strengthen mutual trust and develop relations in the interests of the citizens of both countries.

The meeting also reviewed the outcomes of the recent visit of the Serbian President to Uzbekistan and the agreements reached during that visit. Vučić once again thanked President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the warm reception and extended an invitation for an official visit to Serbia.
