Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The management system for industry and agriculture in Jizzakh region will be enhanced.

The presidential decree “On Additional Measures to Improve Management in the Industrial and Agricultural Sectors in Jizzakh Region” comes into effect in 2026.

According to the decree, the hokimyat’s staff structure will include new positions for deputy hokims. One deputy will oversee the development of mountainous areas and pastures, investment, and trade, while the second will focus on industrial development in steppe and desert regions, investment, and trade.

To assess the effectiveness of these newly appointed deputy hokims, an experimental results-oriented management system will be introduced in 2026. This system will define key performance indicators (KPIs), including strategic metrics and target indicators for industrial development and investment attraction in the relevant areas.

KPIs will be classified as strategic, regional, and district-level, with measures ensuring their proportional alignment. Performance evaluation of the deputy hokims will be based on the achievement of set goals and the effectiveness of implemented measures in accordance with the approved KPIs.

The introduction of this system aims to enhance managerial efficiency, accelerate regional economic development, and stimulate investment in the industrial and agricultural sectors of Jizzakh region.
