During the meeting, the Chairman of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Nurdinjon Ismoilov informed Dastanbek Jumabekov about the activities of this body, tasks of the committees, and also reported on the mechanisms of interaction between the Government and the Parliament of Uzbekistan.

Jumabekov, inviting his Uzbek counterpart to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan, called on parliaments to work more closely to strengthen interstate relations.

“Between our peoples, there are similarities in language, and in history, and in culture. The solution of border issues opened the door for further rapprochement between the citizens of two countries and we need to be a bridge in the brotherhood and friendship of the peoples. As representatives of the government, creating favorable conditions for ordinary citizens, we will help strengthen their contacts and increase the volume of trade,” Toraga said.

Nurdinjon Ismoilov, in his turn, said that the Uzbek side is ready to cooperate with the parliament of Kyrgyzstan. He also expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate as guests in the plenary session of the Parliament Assembly of Turkish-language countries.
