Over 1.456 bn tonnes of cargo transported in Uzbekistan

The volume of cargo transportation via all types of transport in Uzbekistan increased by 5% and reached about 1.456 billion tonnes, Ministry of Economy of Uzbekistan said.
The volume of transported cargo via railway grew by 3.5% to 66 million tonnes and via air – by 5.1% to 23,100 tonnes.
The volume of passenger transportation rose by 4.8% in 2014 and reached 7.321 billion people.
Over 19.2 million people (+10.1%) used railway transport in 2014 and 7.23 billion people – automobile transport.
