Official Delegation from Jordan’s Parliament Arrives in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 February, at the invitation of the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, an official delegation from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, led by Speaker of the House of Representatives Faisal Akif Al-Fayez, arrived in Uzbekistan.

At Tashkent International Airport, the guests were welcomed by Alisher Agzamkhodjaev, Chairman of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Ties, Foreign Investments, and Tourism.

During the visit, members of the Jordanian delegation will tour the “New Uzbekistan” park and participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument of Independence. Meetings are also scheduled between the delegation, led by Faisal Akif Al-Fayez, and the leadership of both chambers of the Oliy Majlis, where prospects for further development of interparliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Jordan will be discussed.

Additionally, the delegation will visit historical and architectural landmarks in ancient Samarkand, highlighting the cultural and historical ties between the two countries.
