New flights from Europe to Urgench to be launched in spring

Deputy director of international airport Urgench Ruslan Agabullaev said that it is planned to open flight from Frankfurt to Urgench and Vienna to Urgench in spring 2015. He noted that the airport can receive any passenger jets.

He recalled that currently airport receives flights Paris – Urgench – Tashkent, Madrid – Urgench – Tashkent, Moscow – Urgench, Saint Petersburg – Urgench, Volgograd – Urgench.

Narodnoye Slovo newspaper reported that number of passengers, who use service of Urgench airport, is increasing each year. In 11 months of 2013, the airport transported 131,000 passengers, in 2014 the figure reached 136,000.
