Kitchen Fire at Guliston Cafeteria Contained, Injured Hospitalized

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — This morning, on 2 December, a fire broke out in the kitchen of the “Taraqqiyot” mahalla committee cafeteria in the city of Guliston. Social media reports suggested a possible gas cylinder explosion.

According to the Syrdarya Regional Emergency Ministry, the fire was quickly contained and completely extinguished.

Several people sustained injuries and were taken to the Syrdarya branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care to receive treatment. No fatalities were reported.

The regional health authorities continue to monitor the condition of the injured.
