Head of State Inspectorate for Plant Quarantine appointed

According to the inspection, Ibrohim Ergashev became the head of the State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan. At this post he replaced Alisher Sodikova.

The State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate was formed on 30 August 2017 by a decree of the President of Uzbekistan.

The Inspectorate was created to enhance phytosanitary well-being and safety, as well as to improve the protection of the country’s territories from quarantine and other dangerous pests.
