The region recorded 10.2% growth of industrial output in 2014, production of consumer goods – by 7%, agriculture production – 6.7%, retail trade turnover – 13.3% and services – 9.2%.
Within the programmes on development of the industry, the region used investments for US$154.4 million and launched 550 production capacities. About 12,000 new jobs were created. Within these projects, industrial goods for 262 billion soums were produced.
Over 2,500 new small businesses and 6,300 private enterprises were created in the region. About 14,000 businesses received loans for 600 billion soums from the commercial banks, while 702 entities got lands.
The share of small businesses in industrial production rose from 21% to 28% and in the gross regional product – 62.1%. They created over 69,000 new jobs and share in the employment was 78%.
Overall, about 93,000 new jobs were created in the region.
