The speaker of the Senate of Kazakhstan thanked the Uzbek side for the warm welcome given to the delegation of the Kazakh Parliament during the September visit to Tashkent and Samarkand, the press service of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan said.
Tokaev noted that the visit was fruitful in terms of strengthening the inter-parliamentary dialogue and expanding bilateral cooperation across the entire spectrum of interaction.
The Chairman of the Senate of Kazakhstan called Uzbekistan an important strategic partner of Kazakhstan in Central Asia.
He said the contribution of Presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev to strengthening friendly relations between the countries.
“The successful economic development, stability and security of the whole Central Asian region largely depends on the close cooperation and concerted actions of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan,” Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev said.
In turn, Boriy Alikhonov highly appreciated the progressive nature of development of bilateral relations in various fields.
In his opinion, parliaments play an important role in implementing the agreements reached by the heads of our states.
