Delegation of Uzbekistan holds several meetings in Iran

Deputy Minister of Road and Urban Development of Iran Davood Keshavarzian, First Deputy Transport Minister of Oman Said bin Hamdun, Minister of railways of Turkmenistan Bayram Annameredov, President of Kazakhstan Temir Joly Askar Mamin and representative of International Road Association Dalida Matic attended the session of the Council.

During the session, the participants considered regulation of the activities of the Council and working bodies of the agreement, formation of favourable conditions to increase attractiveness of route and volume of transit transportation.

The participants signed a memorandum (protocol) of the session of the Coordination Council, envisaging adoption of a complex of measures to implementation of the agreement, formation and launch of activities of working bodies, development of concrete proposals on formation of favourable conditions for transit of foreign trade cargoes and effective load of the corridor.

Within the visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan met with Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade of Iran Mohammadreza Nematzadeh and Minister of Road and Urban Construction of Iran Abbas Ahundi.

The sides considered current state and perspectives of cooperation in trade-economic, transport and transit. They also discussed holding of next session of the Uzbek-Iranian intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation.
