Delegation of Uzbekistan hold talks with Iranian industry minister

The first session of Coordination Council of the agreement on creation of transport corridor among the Governments of Iran, Oman, Qatar, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan was held in Tehran on 15 February 2015. The Uzbek delegation attended the meeting.

Iranian Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Mohammadreza Nematzadeh received the delegation of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the sides considered further development of bilateral relations and implementation of project on creation of transport corridor among the Governments of Iran, Oman, Qatar, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

It was underlined that trade turnover between two states made up US$250 million and the sides expressed hope that bilateral trade will grow in 2015.

Officials also discussed issues related to increasing number of flights between Tashkent and Tehran.
