Speaking at the joint session of the Legislative Chamber and Senate of Oliy Majlis, Uzbek head Islam Karimov said the economy of the country grew by 8.1% and industrial output by 9% in 2009.
He said the volume of total investments rose by 26%, including foreign investments increased by 68%, in the reporting period.
The growth of average salaries made up 40% and real incomes – 26.5%, the Uzbek leader noted.
