Cooperation Agreement Signed Between Andijan and Kashgar

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the city of Kashgar in China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, led by Mayor Veli Asim, visited Andijan to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

The guests were received by Hokim of Andijan Region Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov.

During the meeting, both sides discussed expanding interregional collaboration in trade and economic relations, investment, social and cultural initiatives, transport and logistics, and tourism.

The participants noted that regular meetings between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and President Xi Jinping of China, along with their political will, have elevated Uzbek-Chinese relations to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership, ensuring consistent development of ties across all areas.

Following the discussions, a cooperation agreement was signed between the hokimiyats of Andijan and Kashgar, establishing joint efforts in trade and economic activities, investment, tourism, and culture.
