CITIC Construction Co., Ltd to construct chemical plant in Uzbekistan, not CMEC
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
CITIC Construction Co., Ltd will construct a NPK-fertilizers production plant in Samarkand, not China Machinery Engineering Corporation, an official representative of Uzkimyosanoat Zafar Roziev told UzDaily.
On 23 February, UzDaily.uz reported that China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) will construct a chemical plant in Samarkand.
Zafar Roziev said that during the visit of President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to China in August 2014, Uzkimyosanoat signed a memorandum on joint implementation of the project “Organization of production of NPK-fertilizers at Samarkankimyo.
He said that memorandum was signed with СITIC Construction Co., Ltd, which has great experience in such projects and implemented several projects in Uzbekistan with Uzkimyosanoat, not CMEC.
He recalled that СITIC Construction Co., Ltd participated in construction of Kungrad Soda Plant and Dehkanabad Potash Fertilizers Plant.
