China’s Datatek Technology to Invest in Public Transport in Karakalpakstan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Chinese company Datatek Technology has expressed its readiness to participate in the development of Karakalpakstan’s public transport system. The announcement was made by the press service of the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan.
Prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed during a meeting between Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, Fakhod Ermanov, and the company’s leadership.
Datatek Technology showed particular interest in investing in environmentally friendly public transportation.
The initial phase of the project involves the delivery of modern buses and the development of a digital passenger transport management system. The investor is also considering the introduction of a cashless fare payment system, aimed at enhancing both transparency and convenience for users of public transport services.
The project is designed to modernize the region’s transportation infrastructure and significantly improve urban mobility.
