It should be noted that the document was signed on 5 September 2017 in Bishkek during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan.
The document regulates the activities of the border representatives of the parties to resolve issues related to the settlement of border incidents at the State Border.
In accordance with the Agreement, border officials within the areas of their activities monitor compliance with the established rules for crossing the State Border and take measures to prevent its crossing with violation of the rules.
Together with the competent state bodies, they take the necessary measures to deport (transfer) illegal migrants and combat smuggling, provide control over the economic activities at the State Border, as well as for water use in border water reservoirs, compliance with hunting and fishing rules.
They timely inform each other about the threats of spreading across the State border fires, epidemics, epizootics and agricultural pests.
The entry into force of this bilateral document will serve as an additional legal mechanism for the timely settlement of emerging issues at the State Border.
