About 200 Uzbek citizen join Islamic State

Sheikh Abdulaziz Mansurov said that citizens of Uzbekistan, who worked in Russia, travelled to Syria to join the Islamic State. He said that about 200 Uzbek citizens joined the IS via Russia.

He admitted that there were 2-3 persons, who was planning to travel from Uzbekistan to join the IS, but they were arrested. He expressed his concern as internet is used to agitate youth to join the group.

Abdulaziz Mansurov said that members of the Islamic State with their actions proved that they are against Islam.

He noted that killing people and violence against women shows who they are. He said that their actions are against Islam.
