President of Uzbekistan sends condolences to the President of Russia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President Shavkat Mirziyoyev extended condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin in connection with the loss of lives as a result of a school shooting at a school in the city of Izhevsk.
The head of our state expressed words of sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.
This morning, an unknown person opened fire at school No. 88 in Izhevsk, and then committed suicide. According to the head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Alexander Khinshtein, he was armed with two traumatic pistols converted to live ammunition. According to the Investigative Committee (IC), the offender is a graduate of the same school, born in 1988.
The death toll in the shooting at the Izhevsk school has increased to 15 people, of which 11 are children, RIA Novosti was told in the press service of the IC.
“As a result of the committed crime, 39 people were injured, 15 of them died, including 11 children and 4 adults. 24 victims were injured, including 22 children and 2 adults," the IC said.
