Scholarships to be awarded to study at leading universities of Japan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government adopted the Resolution "On measures for the effective use of the grant of the Government of Japan for the organization of training for representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan" (№26, January 18, 2021).
According to the document, exchange notes and grant agreements on the organization of training for representatives of Uzbekistan in the magistracy and doctoral studies of leading universities in Japan will be signed annually.
Moreover, scholarships will be allocated to study at leading universities in Japan.
A grant from the Government of Japan in the amount of 291 million Japanese yens (equivalent to US$2.6 million) will be submitted for use in 2021-2022.
Selection of candidates for training and coordination of project implementation will be carried out:
from Uzbekistan - by the Secretariat for Education, Health, Culture, Youth, Spirituality and Public Organizations, Support to Makhalla and Family of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, as well as the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade;
from Japan - the Japanese Embassy in Uzbekistan, the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the Uzbek-Japanese Center for Human Resources Development.
The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, together with interested ministries and departments, within the framework of the project, will continuously monitor the study of scholars studying in Japan, as well as the labor activity of scholars who have completed their studies.
