Mirziyoyev: 3.2 million citizens to be provided with clean drinking water

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the pre-election program of the candidate for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from UzLiDeP of Shavkat Mirziyoev, consistent implementation of the principle “The reforms are not for the sake of reforms, but for the good of the people” is one of the priorities in the development of the social sphere.

In particular, the programme of the candidate for President suggests to adopt a programme on expansion and modernization of water supply networks in rural areas.

In next five years, it is planned to construct and reconstruct about 9,000 km of water supply networks, 1,400 wells and 3,600 water facilities. This will allow additionally to provide clean drinking water to 3.2 million citizens of Karakalpakstan, Andijan, Jizzakh, Navoi, Syrdarya, Samarkand, Tashkent and Khorezm regions.

This will also help to improve the figure on supply of clean water from 67% to 84%.

It is planned to create Ministry of utilities and special fund Toza Suv (Clean Water) under the Ministry of Finance.

The pre-election program of the candidate aims to increase the level and quality of life of the population, and their prosperity. We call on voters to take an active part in the elections of President and to vote for the candidate from UzLiDeP - Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev.
