UzLiDeP: local authorities are under control of MPs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan indicated in its pre-election programme that the party will ensure control over activities of the state bodies via MPs. The party’s website includes information on activities of the UzLiDeP faction at the parliament on work of MPs on control over state bodies.

UzLiDeP said that time come to take under control activities of the Council of People’s Deputies at all levels.

The party noted that priority tasks of the MPs Groups of UzLiDeP at all levels in 2010-2014 was to execute laws and other decisions of the Government on youth, implementation of the state programmes and projects on further improving prosperity of population and social-economic development of the regions.

UzLiDeP said that MPs of the Councils of People’s Deputies in places conducted in line with methodology developed by the party. It added that 32 hearings were conducted in 2011, 142 in 2011, 152 in 2012 and 235 in 2013.

The works on conducting control-analytical activities improved as well.The party conducted five control-analytical events in places, the figure reached 183 in 2013 and over 130 in the first half of 2014.

The party underlined that quality of works also improved. The party expanded topics, which it studied. In particular, the party studied implementation of state programmes, state of business environment and development of small and private businesses, as well as farms, etc.

MPs Groups of UzLiDeP had submitted over 590 proposals to the Councils of the People’s Deputies since 2010 and the corresponding decisions were adopted.

UzLiDeP also efficiently use such tool as MPs request. MPs directed 176 requests to heads and officials of corresponding organizations in 2010, 336 in 2011, 342 in 2012 and 1,500 in 2013 and over 750 in the first half of 2014.

MPs control became efficient tool, which is used by MPs in places to reveal shortages and barriers in places.

UzLiDeP will further work to improving MPs Control in places. The party will focus its efforts to development of small and private businesses, as well as farmers, service sector, etc.
