World Bank: Uzbekistan’s GDP to grow by 5.7% in 2020

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The economic growth of Uzbekistan will be 5.7% in 2020, according to the World Bank’s report “Global Economic Prospects”.

In June 2019, the World Bank forecast that Uzbekistan’s GDP growth in 2020 will be 5.5%.

According to experts of the bank, Uzbekistan’s GDP grew by 5.5% in 2019 against the June forecast of 5.3%.

At the same time, the World Bank maintained its forecast for GDP growth in Uzbekistan in 2021 at the level of 6%. In 2022, the economy of Uzbekistan, according to the expectation of bank’s analysts, will grow by 6%.
