Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 April 2021, under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov, in the format of video conferencing, the progress of the execution of instructions of the Government Commission on the Development of Data Export and Investment was discussed in the framework of meetings with entrepreneurs in Bukhara and Navoi regions, as well as a number of issues related to investment and foreign trade activities in these regions.
In total, following the visit to Bukhara region, appeals of 320 entrepreneurs were heard and 378 problematic issues were raised, and as a result of the visit to Navoi region, appeals of 217 entrepreneurs were heard and 229 problematic issues were voiced.
A critical assessment was given of the activities of the heads of ministries, departments, commercial banks in solving the identified problems and providing support to entrepreneurs, initiators of investment projects and exporters. Targeted instructions were given to strengthen work in this direction, bearing in mind the implementation of specific practical measures to finally resolve the issues raised.
The course of implementation of regional investment programs in Bukhara and Navoi regions was also studied. Currently, within the framework of these programs in Bukhara region, it is planned to implement 665 projects worth 8.8 trillion soums, due to which 17.1 thousand new jobs will be created, and in Navoi region - 401 projects worth 4.0 trillion soums, due to which 8.6 thousand jobs will be created. The analysis of the implementation of these projects in the context of industries and commercial banks was carried out - it was instructed to intensify the work to accelerate the commissioning of the created industries.
Issues of allocating credit resources to exporters for pre-export financing were considered separately. Currently, 346 enterprises have been identified in the Republic that have a need for pre-export financing for a total of 2.1 trillion soums. At the same time, 1.5 trillion soums have already been allocated to 172 exporters, of which about 560 billion soums have been allocated at the expense of the Export Support Fund. The heads of responsible commercial banks were instructed to take effective measures to satisfy all applications received from entrepreneurs as soon as possible.
As a result of the meeting, the responsible leaders were given additional instructions for the high-quality and timely execution of the tasks set within the framework of the above areas of joint work.
