Woman attempted to sell her son in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Law enforcement bodies of Uzbekistan detained a 20-year-old women, native of Khazarasp district of Khorezm region, when she attempted to sell her son, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

The women tried to sell the boy, who was born on 4 November 2017, for US$1,000.

Operational search activities were conducted by the Tashkent police department and prosecutors.

A criminal case is under investigation.
