Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Europe, Dr Hans Kluge, who took office on 1 February 2020, will pay a visit to Uzbekistan. This will be his first visit abroad in a new capacity.
According to the Ministry of Health, during the visit, it is planned to sign a two-year Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the WHO Regional Office for Europe for 2020-2021.
The WHO official will also visit several medical institutions and specialized scientific and practical medical centers.
Last May, Geneva hosted the 72nd World Health Assembly and the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Alisher Shadmanov was elected Vice-President of the World Health Organization for Europe.
