Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 February 2021, the sixth meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Hungary was held in Budapest.

Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs Péter Szijjártó and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov made a welcoming speech at the event.

The meeting discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation, as well as cooperation in the financial and banking sector. In addition, issues of cooperation in the field of education, science and innovation, transport, culture and tourism were considered.

During the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Hungary, an agreement was signed on the establishment of the Hungarian-Uzbek Business Council.
