Veterans of 1941-1945 war to get memorable jubilee medals

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a decree “On awarding memorable jubilee medal “Ikkinchi Jahon Urushidagi Galabaning 70 yilligi” of war and labour veterans of 1941-1945” on 19 February 2015.

The decree was signed to honour citizens of Uzbekistan – veterans of war and labour of 1941-1945, who contributed to the victory over Fascism and in connection with 70th anniversary of the victory in World War II.

The medal will be awarded World War II veterans, awarded with various medals and orders for their contribution in the war and hard work in rear in 1941-1945.

The award is handed over veterans by representative of state bodies on behalf of the President of Uzbekistan, the decree said. The special certificate is also handed over with medal.
