Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A film crew from European companies visited Uzbekistan last week to shoot for a new advertising film. A team of European specialists will work on the film, filming videos for Hermès, Vogue, Dior and Chanel.
During the press conference and training seminar "Uzbek textiles in Europe: a new advertising film and a strategy for entering the European market" organized by the Uztekstilprom Association, the public was presented with the main idea of this project and the mechanism for popularizing and promoting Uzbek textile products abroad.
The event was attended by the leaders of the Uztekstilprom Association, the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry, over 50 enterprises of the industry, as well as members of the film crew led by the film director Pierre Disko and the head of Advantage Central Asia Dmitry Rodin.
The project is being implemented within the framework of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan 5989 from 5 May 2020 with the support of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. To finance the project, funds were attracted from the fund of the Export Support Agency under the MIFT.
Advantage Central Asia provides consulting assistance to the Uztekstilprom Association in expanding exports and promoting textile products to the European market.
Famous experts such as S. Forlini, a French and Italian filmmaker, were involved in the shooting of the advertising film. He specializes in documentary, art filming (films Future Shock, You Ressemble Me, The Session, etc.) and advertising (Hermès, Vogue, Dior, etc.)
Andre Andreev is an expert in the field of textiles and fashion business, a consultant for the Chanel brand on the creation of the Haute Couture collection.
Pierre Dixot is a regular filmmaker and creator of films and videos for Louis Vuitton, Nike, Hermès, Chanel, Chloé, Lacoste, Mini, ED Bander Records.
During the event, the filmmakers shared their impressions of their stay in Uzbekistan and their acquaintance with the country’s textile industry. Filming took place in Bukhara, Kashkadarya, Samarkand, Namangan, Tashkent regions and Tashkent city at exemplary cotton and textile clusters and enterprises. Highlighted the high technological power of the industry, which would like to be reflected in the film.
Also, in the training seminar, Dmitry Rodin emphasized the unprecedented support that the state provides to exporters, including companies that produce textiles, in particular, assistance in passing the certification of goods and paying for it.
During the conversation with industry enterprises, European experts shared their visions and recommendations on branding companies and their products, how to find and attract new customers, what should be emphasized when preparing commercials, etc.
