“Uzsuvta’minot” Plans to Provide 83.5% of Population with Quality Drinking Water in 2026

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzsuvta’minot JSC has set a key goal for 2026 to increase the population’s access to drinking water to 83.5%. The company’s press service head, Akmal Murodov, outlined the achievements of 2025 and the plans for the current year during a briefing.

In 2025, 715,000 people were provided with clean drinking water for the first time, and another 2.3 million people gained improved access to quality water.

As part of the social and industrial infrastructure development program, 2.25 trillion soums were invested.

Over the past year, 973 kilometers of drinking water networks and 336.5 kilometers of sewage networks were laid, with the construction of 67 water supply facilities and 35 wastewater treatment facilities completed.
