UzLiDeP and Milliy Tiklanish submit papers to register their presidential candidates
In line with the law “On elections of the President of Uzbekistan”, nomination of candidates to post of the President starts sixty five days before elections and ends 45 days before election day. The highest body of the parties – sessions – nominate candidates to the post of the President of Uzbekistan.
The parties should submit application with request to register candidate to the post of the President, decision of higher body of the political party on nomination of candidate, protocol of the session of the higher body of the party on nomination of the candidate, application of the candidate to the post of the President with his agreement to participate in elections and signature lists to support nominated candidate.
The political parties completed collection of signatures to support the nominated candidates to the post of the President of Uzbekistan.
Central Election Commission after receiving documents will check them and issue conclusion within the seven days.
Currently, the working groups are working at the CEC, which will check signature sheets. The working group includes representatives of CEC, public organizations, interior affairs and justice bodies.
As earlier reported, UzLiDeP nominated Islam Karimov as candidate to the post of the President of Uzbekistan, while Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milliy Tiklanish” – Akmal Saidov.
