UzKRI Launches New Bond Issue with 16.5% Yield
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan Mortgage Refinancing Company (UzKRI) has launched a new issue of corporate bonds, the Uzbekistan Stock Exchange reported. The bonds will enter trading on 31 March under the ticker IQMK5B8.
The issue comprises 300,000 bonds with a nominal value of 1 million soums each, raising a total of 300 billion soums. The coupon yield is set at 16.5% per annum — the lowest in UzKRI’s issuance history. The bonds have a five-year term with quarterly coupon payments.
Previously, the company issued several bond series: the first two were listed on the exchange in August 2024 totaling 290 billion soums with a 19% yield. In September 2024, UzKRI launched its first “green” bonds worth 50 billion soums at 18%, financing energy-efficient building upgrades.
The fourth issue took place in November 2024 for 250 billion soums at 19%. In March 2025, the fifth issue raised 200 billion soums at an 18% yield over three years. In December 2025, two five-year bond issues of 200 billion soums each were placed with a 17.5% yield.
The new 16.5% bond reflects the current trend of declining interest rates and improves accessibility for a broader range of investors.
