Uzbekoziqovqatholding to be liquidated

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the Resolution of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the holding company Uzbekoziqovqatholding is planned to be liquidated within two months.

It is expected that it will be replaced by a self-regulating organization in the food industry, according to a presidential resolution dated January 28, on the organization of the activities of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade.

The Uzbekoziqovqatholding company was founded on the basis of the Association of Food Enterprises of Uzbekistan in the spring of 2016.

Today, the country is taking comprehensive measures for the development, modernization and technical re-equipment of food industry enterprises aimed at producing domestic products that are competitive in the domestic and foreign markets.

The plans for the liquidation of the holding were announced in last fall. At the same time, the actual state of affairs in the industry indicates the presence of problems related to the overregulation of the management of the industry, the presence of redundant links and duplicating functions, the lack of systematic work with enterprises, etc.
