Uzbekneftegaz GTL: currently 92.5% of the project is almost completed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz Mehriddin Abdullayev and members of the Working Group got acquainted with the ongoing construction, installation and commissioning work at the Uzbekneftegaz GTL plant, which is being built in Guzar district of Kashkadarya region.

The final stage of construction of this plant, which will become the largest production project in Central Asia, has been studied in detail.

The Chairman of the Board acknowledged that the project was continued thanks to the dedication of workers and specialists in the process of construction and commissioning of the Uzbekneftegaz GTL plant.

It was also noted that, despite the coronavirus pandemic, construction and installation work continued, aided by the heroism of hardworking workers.

The Chairman of the Management Board met with representatives of ENTER Engineering, the general contractor for construction works, and got acquainted with the conditions created for the workers.

The additionally created conditions for work, rest and food were considered, their problematic issues were also studied.

Members of the Working Group headed by the Chairman of the Board also got acquainted with the state of commissioning of a number of equipment and technological devices at the Uzbekneftegaz GTL plant.

In particular, in October 2020, electricity was supplied to the main substation of the plant, which now fully provides electricity. By the end of the year, it is planned to start production of compressed air for systems and automation equipment, as well as to launch water supply systems.

In this process, special attention was paid to the training of personnel involved in setting up and operating the equipment.

Within the framework of the project, the necessary instructions were given to accelerate and successfully complete the work.

Currently, 92.5% of the project has been practically completed, including construction and installation work, more than 13.1 thousand workers and about 1000 units of special equipment work at the construction site.

It should be noted that with the commissioning of this plant, 3.6 billion cubic meters of purified natural gas (methane) will be processed per year and the production of 1.5 million tons of high-quality synthetic liquid fuel will be achieved, including more than 307 thousand tons of aviation kerosene, 724 thousand tons diesel fuel, 437 thousand tons of oil, naphtha, raw materials for the chemical industry, 53 thousand tons of liquefied gas.
