Uzbekneftegaz and Gazprom discuss cooperation issues
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz - Alisher Sultanov and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprom - Vitaly Markelov, the Uzbekneftegaz JSC press service said.
To attend the meeting, a delegation of specialists and managers of Gazprom came to Uzbekistan, which included over 40 members.
The sides discussed the current state and results of the work done within the framework of bilateral cooperation, reports of the working groups were also heard and priority directions for further action were identified.
It was noted that the active phase of exploration of geological and geophysical materials was started by Gazprom at prospective investment blocks. The concept of an engineering and innovation center was developed.
In 2017, fruitful work was carried out to exchange experience and improve the skills of the Uzbek specialists. At the enterprises of Gazprom, more than 50 employees of enterprises belonging to Uzbekneftegaz were trained.
The parties exchanged opinions and information on production technologies, manufactured by Russian enterprises, as part of the localization and import substitution program, as well as on the experience of the Republic of Uzbekistan in using natural gas as a gas engine fuel.
At the end of the meeting, the further objectives of the working groups were determined and corresponding plans for their joint activities were approved.
