Uzbekistan’s Tourism Sector Shows Steady Growth in January–November 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Over the first eleven months of 2025, Uzbekistan’s tourism sector continued to grow at an accelerated pace.

During this period, the country welcomed 10.7 million foreign tourists, reaching 114% of the figure recorded in the same period last year. Export of tourism services totaled US$4.4 billion, marking an increase of 144%.

Domestic Tourism and Infrastructure

The “Travel Across Uzbekistan” program contributed to the growth of domestic travel, with residents making 23.7 million domestic trips, achieving 114.8% of the planned target.

In the regions, 954 new accommodation facilities were commissioned. The total number of accommodations reached 6,861, offering 183,900 beds.

Simultaneously, the tourism business continues to develop: 662 new companies and travel agencies were launched, bringing the total number of operating entities in the sector to 4,348. The number of tour guides and excursion specialists reached 4,345, with an additional 375 trained during the year.

Tourist Facilities and Investment

Based on recommendations provided to entrepreneurs for improving service infrastructure, 784 sanitary and hygiene points were renovated.

In the investment sphere, 421 projects were implemented, creating over 6,313 jobs.

These results confirm the significant role of tourism in Uzbekistan’s economy. The sector continues to strengthen the country’s international image, stimulate employment, and drive growth in service exports.
