Uzbekistan’s Total Household Income Exceeded 1,134 Trillion Soums in 2025 – National Statistics Committee
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, total household income in Uzbekistan reached 1,134.3 trillion soums in January–December 2025.
To assess real income growth, the consumer price index was applied, which eliminates the effects of inflation. As a result, the real growth rate of total household income compared to the same period in 2024 was 9.2%.
Average per capita income reached 29.9 million soums, with nominal growth of 16.6% and real growth of 7.2%.
Per capita income above the national average was recorded in the capital and several regions: in Tashkent city, it reached 73,910.5 thousand soums; in Navoi region — 44,694.2 thousand; in Bukhara — 35,176.2 thousand; and in Khorezm — 31,136.0 thousand.
Below the national average were the Republic of Karakalpakstan (20,656.0 thousand soums) and Namangan, Surkhandarya, Jizzakh, Syrdarya, Kashkadarya, Samarkand, Fergana, Andijan, and Tashkent regions, where values ranged from 21,304.6 to 29,830.9 thousand soums.
The highest real per capita income growth in 2025 was observed in Fergana region — 14.8%, Khorezm — 8.7%, Tashkent city — 8.5%, and Kashkadarya — 8.5%. In other regions, including Navoi (7.1%), Syrdarya (6.7%), Surkhandarya (6.5%), Samarkand (6.2%), Namangan (5.7%), Jizzakh (5.0%), Tashkent region (4.4%), Karakalpakstan (3.8%), and Andijan (0.6%), growth rates were below the national average.
The structure of total household income shows that in 2025, 60.4% came from labor income, including wages and self-employment. Income from own production of services for personal use accounted for 6.7%, property income — 3.3%, and transfers — 29.6%.
The highest share of labor income was recorded in Navoi region — 77.9%, while in Fergana, Samarkand, Khorezm, Andijan, Surkhandarya, Tashkent city, and Kashkadarya, it was below the national average.
Transfer income exceeded 30% of total household income in Fergana, Khorezm, Samarkand, Andijan, Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya, Namangan, Bukhara regions, and Karakalpakstan, while the lowest share was in Navoi — 13.6%. Nominal growth of transfer income over the year reached 123.2%, of which 29.1% was social transfers and 70.9% other current transfers. Within social transfers, pensions accounted for 83.8%, allowances — 14.4%, and scholarships — 1.8%. Remittances from abroad represented 21.0% of total household income, included in other current transfers.
Income from employment accounted for 26.4% of total household income, with growth reaching 120.3%, contributing to a 5.3% increase in nominal household income.
The contribution of self-employment was particularly significant in Jizzakh region, reaching 51.6% with growth of 115.0%, as well as in Tashkent region — 43.9% (115.9%) and Bukhara — 43.9% (116.8%).
Income from small businesses accounted for an average of 58.0% of total household income, with the highest shares in Jizzakh (66.6%), Bukhara (64.2%), Tashkent region (63.5%), Namangan (61.9%), Khorezm (61.5%), Surkhandarya (61.0%), Kashkadarya (60.9%), and Samarkand (60.1%). In Tashkent city, the share of small business income was 48.9%.
