Uzbekistan’s Military Wins International “Team Spirit” Competition in Pakistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The national team of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan has won the 9th International “Team Spirit” competition held in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, reaffirming its status as one of the strongest military teams on the international stage.

A total of 34 teams from 19 countries took part in the competition. Participants were required to complete an extreme 90-kilometer course, overcome 31 complex and often unpredictable obstacles, and carry out a series of practical test tasks demanding exceptional physical endurance, coordinated teamwork, and psychological resilience. The Uzbek servicemen completed the route in 33 hours and 34 minutes.

Special attention was drawn to the absolute record set by the Uzbek team in the “casualty evacuation” discipline: the servicemen carried an 80-kilogram load over a distance of 5 kilometers in just 27 minutes, demonstrating a high level of training and outstanding team coordination.

Based on the overall results, the Uzbekistan team achieved the highest score — 97.3 percent — and confidently secured first place.

Second and third places were taken by the teams of Malaysia and the United States, with scores of 82.1 percent and 76.4 percent respectively.

According to the organizers, the Uzbek servicemen demonstrated exemplary cohesion, professionalism, and the ability to perform effectively under highly challenging conditions.

Notably, this marks the second consecutive victory for Uzbekistan at the competition. Last year, the team also claimed first place with a score of 95 percent, outperforming teams from China and Bahrain.

The successful performance at the international competition once again confirms the high level of combat readiness and specialized training of the servicemen of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
