Uzbekistan U-16 Beats Kyrgyzstan in CAFA 2026 Opener

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —Uzbekistan’s U-16 national team, coached by Ayder Kurbaev, started the CAFA U-17 Championship 2026 with a victory. In their opening match, they faced the Kyrgyzstan U-16 team and won 2-1.

The first goal came in the 10th minute, when Khojiakbar Zulfikorov put Uzbekistan ahead, though Kyrgyzstan soon equalized.

The winning goal was scored by Emmanuel Emonkpaire in the 82nd minute, securing three points for Uzbekistan in their tournament opener.

Uzbekistan’s next matches are scheduled for 9 April against Afghanistan, 11 April versus Turkmenistan, and 13 April against Tajikistan.
