Uzbekistan to supply Tajikistan with gas for US$15.1 million

According to Tajik media, the contract for supply of natural gas from Uzbekistan to Tajikistan was signed by gas distribution companies.

The contract on purchase and sale of natural gas was signed by the heads of Tajiktransgaz and Uztransgaz within the framework of the state visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Tajikistan in early March.

Uzbekistan will sell gas to Tajikistan at a price of US$120 per 1,000 cubic meters, the media reported.

The source of the media added that Uzbekistan is ready to increase the volume of supplies to Tajikistan in the event of additional requirements for natural gas.
