Uzbekistan to Receive 100 Modern Ambulances Under South Korea Grant
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a visit by a delegation of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea, a memorandum was signed on the provision of a grant for the supply of 100 modern ambulance vehicles.
The delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Health Farkhodjon Tashpulatov, was received by the head of DK Consultants. The talks focused on the further development of bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector and the implementation of prospective joint projects.
Under the agreement, the total value of the ambulance supply will amount to US$7 million. The procurement of the vehicles, intended to improve the performance of the “103” emergency medical service, is scheduled for the first half of 2026.
The meeting also addressed plans to transfer Tashkent City Clinical Hospital No. 7 to management under a public-private partnership arrangement, as well as the construction of a modern medical building at the Republican Specialized Endocrinology Scientific and Practical Medical Center.
Representatives of the Korean side expressed satisfaction with Uzbekistan’s active engagement in transforming its healthcare system and reaffirmed their readiness for further mutually beneficial cooperation.
