Total cost of both projects is US$37.1 million and both of them were included to the programme of measures on ensuring structural reforms, modernization and diversification of production for 2015-2019.
The press service of Uzkimyosanoat told UzDaily that production of NPK-fertilizers at Samarkandkimyo will be created in cooperation with China’s CITIC Construction. The plant will be commissioned by the end of 2015.
Ammophos – Maxam will implement the second project in cooperation with Spain’s Maxam Corp. International S.L.
The project will be financed due to loans of the commercial banks and international financial institutions.
Uzbekistan possesses all necessary raw materials – natural gas, phosphorite and potassium salt and enterprises for their processing. Uzbekistan can became one of largest exporters of NPK-fertilizers.
